Aqua Athlete was established in 2000 by Head Coach Adrian Goate, with the vision of providing all levels of swimming lessons to children learning to swim, swimming squads and masters. Through the years of swimming teaching and coaching, we formulated our best practice approach in teaching children ensuring excellent results for the child and a fun swimming experience.
Our specialist squad and masters coaching programs advance swimmers through the application of the correct swimming techniques thereby improving swimming proficiencies. The swimmers in the squad or masters programme have the option of joining the Aqua Athlete Aquatics Club to further develop there speed and racing ability.
Aqua Athlete contracts 16 instructors at present and teaches over 460 swimmers of all ages and with our Learn to Swim and stroke correction programmes covering 60 percent of our clientele.
All Aqua Athlete instructors are accredited with Swimming South Africa (SSA) and Central Gauteng Aquatics (CGA). A high standard of teaching and coaching is maintained by all Aqua Athletes instructors through regular attendance of refresher swimming coaching courses ensuring Aqua Athlete instructors remain at the forefront with regards to swimming teaching and coaching practices.
Aqua Athlete Service Offering:
- Todswim 1 year to 2 ½ years
- Learn to swim
- Children 2 ½ years to 8 years or older.
- Adults 18 years and older
- Stroke correction 6 years and older
- Squad training 9 years – 25 years
- Masters 20 years and older
